How the tier is set

A NOC is a National Occupational Classification code. Tier follows the job's national median wage, not your salary. Match a job offer for 100, 70, or 50 points, or a Canadian work bonus for 70, 40, or 20 points. CRS calculator · Factor guide

IRCC places a NOC by comparing that occupation's national median wage to the average median wage across Canada. Your own pay does not move the tier. The list uses Job Bank, Labour Force Survey, and Census data from 2023 to 2025, and takes the highest level each NOC met in those years. List version 2026-11-03. Last reviewed October 16, 2026.
